Brotherly Love...

I was filling out a Valentine's Day card for Zachary and Dimitri asked me what I was writing. I told him that I was telling Zachary that I love him and he said he wanted to say I love you. So I showed him where I said, "I love you" and then gave him a pen. After writing "I love you Zachary" Dimitri drew a picture of the three of us. Dimitri is so sweet!

Jazz game date night...

Last night we went to the Jazz game for date night.

For dinner we went to Chili's. We love to play Tic Tac Toe.

After dinner we rode the train to the game. Dimitri kept telling everyone on the train that this was his second time on a train, he was so excited.

Sweet Dimitri...

Dimitri has always been sensitive and sweet.

In Dimitri's hand is a plastic pink heart.

Dimitri came up to me and said, "Mommy, this is for you. This is love because I love you." Dimitri told me that love is when you hug, kiss, tell someone you love them and make them happy. ADORABLE!

Puppet show...

On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of taking Dimitri to a puppet show for our weekly date night. Dimitri was adorable. My favorite part of the evening was listening to Dimitri giggle.

Baby Angel...

Today, marks the anniversary of the due date of the baby I lost. I am grateful for my two wonderful sons who have brought so much joy into my life, but I will NEVER forget my angel baby.

What Makes A Mother

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today, I asked,
"What makes a Mother?"
And I know I heard him say:
A Mother has a baby,
This we know is true
But, God, can you be a mother
When your baby's not with you?

Yes, you can, he replied
With confidence in his voice,
I give many women babies,
When they leave it is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime,
And others for the day,
And some I send to feel your womb,
But there's no need to stay.

I just don't understand this God,
I want my baby here.

He took a breath,
and cleared his throat,
And then I saw a tear.
I wish I could show you,
What your child is doing Here...

If you could see your child smile
With other children and say,
"We go to earth to learn our lessons
of love and life and fear,
but My mommy loved me so much
I got to come straight here!"

I feel so lucky to have a Mom
who had so much love for me,
I learned my lessons very quickly,
My Mommy set me free.

I miss my Mommy oh so much
But I visit her each day.
When she goes to sleep,
On her pillow is where I lay.

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek,
And whisper in her ear,
"Mommy, Please don't be sad today,
I'm your baby and I am here"

So you see my dear sweet one,
Your children are okay.
Your babies are here in My home,
And this is where they'll stay.

They'll wait for you with Me,
Until your lessons there are through,
And on the day that you come home,

Uncle Jared's Birthday...

Tonight we celebrated Uncle Jared's birthday.

Yesterday, we went to the Olive Garden to celebrate Yiayia's birthday.

After cake Zachary wanted to play Spiderman on my phone. As we celebrated Yiayia's birthday, I realized life is passing so fast. Dimitri will turn 5 years old this old, will be starting school and Zachary will be 4 years old...WOW! I was told to enjoy every moment, because you will never be able to turn back time. With the said, I am thankful for what I have.

Double Date...

On Monday, Dimitri and I went on a double date with one of his best friends Austin and his mom Corinne.

We went to see the new Disney movie "Tangled." Tangled was an unforgettable movie that made me cry. TWO THUMBS UP!

Dimitri thought they based the character Flynn Ryder after him since he puts one eyebrow up all the time. We call this Dimitri's "mischievous" face.

After the movie we went to Cold Stone for some ice cream.

We had so much fun on our double date. We can't wait to do it again!
